If you want to refresh your alpaca products after wearing them, simply hang them out to air on the balcony (in the humid morning air - not in the sun) or in the bathroom - instead of washing. Any odors and wrinkles will disappear after just a few hours!
When washing, avoid heat and too much detergent - they are actually the biggest enemies of alpaca wool. Alpaca wool should be washed either by hand or in the washing machine's hand wash program - and it is best to use a gentle wool detergent.
After washing, gently reshape and let it air dry. Do not hang it up, but simply lay it flat, as the knit would otherwise distort and lose its shape. Also, be sure to avoid drying in the dryer, as the fiber structure will shrink.
Alpaca duvets can only be washed in a special cleaning process.
